After roles in Happy Feet Two, Escape from Planet Earth and The Emoji Movie, Sofia Vergara is headlining an upcoming animated feature film from Timeless Films that will be up for sale to domestic and international distributors at May's Cannes Film Festival.  The film is directed by Ferdinand and Rio 2 storyboard artist  Rodrigo Pérez Castro.  In addition to voicing the film's villain, Vergara will also serve as one of its executive producers.

Koati is described as an adventure tale that follows 3 unlikely heroes - a coati (cross between a monkey and raccoon that's primarily found in South and Central America), a butterfly and a glass frog as they look to stop a ferocious coral snake from destroying their habitat.

Production on the animated feature is scheduled for completion in 2019.
