The latest trailer for Paramount Pictures' upcoming Transfomers spinoff, Bumblebee, was chock-full of epic action scenes and heartwarming moments, but the indisputable standouts are by far the Autobots and Decepticons themselves. The trailer featured a ton of them and, taking on the fan-favourite designs of the original cartoon series, they looked incredible.

Given the pace of the trailer and amount of Transformers on show; it wouldn't be surprising if you missed a couple, but don't fret, we've got you covered. The below list goes over the twelve major Autobots and Decepticons who appeared in Bumblebee's second trailer - and therefore will also appear in the film itself - and what they're all about.

Bumblebee

Obviously. Bumblebee has been the front-runner of the live-action Transformers franchise since it began back in 2007. While Bumblebee's alternate form was a Chevrolet muscle-car in the previous five films, the upcoming spinoff sees the fan-favourite Autobot take on the form of a rusty, yellow Volkswagen Beetle - which is much more reminiscent of the original cartoon series.

Bumblebee is a young scout who, Autobot leader, Optimus Prime sends to Earth with the mission to protect its people. However, Bee is pursued by a number of menacing Decepticons who team up with the US Military to take him down. Along the way he meets an eighteen-year-old mechanic named Charlie Watson who befriends Bee and shows him the way of the world.

Shatter & Dropkick

And here are a couple of those dreaded Decepticons who have come to Earth in search of the titular Autobot scout. This pair are Triple-Changers, which is a concept that surprisingly hasn't appeared in the live-action series before now. Unlike your average Transformer, Triple-Changers have two alternate modes - for example, Shatter here can morph between a Plymouth Satellite and a Harrier Jump Jet, while Bee's only option is the VW bug. She's voiced by Angela Bassett (Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Black Panther).

Dropkick, the blue-one, is voiced by Justin Theroux (Lady and the Tramp, The Lego Ninjago Movie). He's said to be similar to, fan-favourite villain, Megatron - despite being second-in-command to Shatter. Dropkick can morph between an AMC Javelin and a Bell AH-1 SuperCobra. The trailer shows that he's quite aggressive, threatening to "burn the planet to cinders" and, being the one who Bee takes on hand-to-hand during the its climax.

Blitzwing

Blitzy here has been a huge point of contention. Most people seem to think that Blitzwing is actually another fan-favourite Decepticon: Starscream. And this confusion is understandable considering that Starscream's usual alternate form is a jet and his original cartoon series' design was one of red and white colours. However, during the Bumblebee's Comic-Con panel, the film's director corrected the unfortunate mistake - revealing that it's actually a different Decepticon jet: Blitzwing.

He's a Decepticon seeker who can transform into a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. Though Blitzwing is usually a Triple-Changer, like Shatter and Dropkick, so far there isn't any indication that the live-action version will be. Seen fighting Bee in the film's international trailer, it's clear that he's only interested in one thing, as his voice-actor David Sobolov asks: "Where is Prime!"

Soundwave & Ravage

Soundwave is the most G1-looking Transfomer we've seen so far. He's known for morphing into a Casette Player - yeah, seriously. As you can see by the symbol amid his chest, he's a Decepticon. He's usually lieutenant to Megatron, though seeing as the evil Decepticon leader is frozen below the Arctic when this film takes place, it's unlikely he'll make an appearance.

The trailer shows us that his faithful sidekick Ravage also features in the film. The jaguar-like Decepticon springs from Soundwave's oven-looking chest. If you listen closely to this moment, during the trailer, you can hear the classic transformation noise from the cartoon series. "Tsche-chu-chu-chu-tsche!"

Optimus Prime

Here's the big-man himself: Optimus Prime. The most well-known Transformer by far. Similar to Soundwave, he's seen taking part in the War for Cybertron - but on the Autobot side. Again, to much praise, Prime has taken on the classic, blocky look. He can usually change into an semi-truck, though he's unlikely to within the film - being on Cybertron.

In Bumblebee it seems that Prime will only make a cameo-esque appearance, providing the titular Autobot with his mission to "Protect Earth and its people" via hologram. But despite his minor role in the film, he's already made quite the impression with fans - devestating both Ravage and, Decepticon jet, Thundercracker in the trailer alone.

Barricade?

Similar to Blitzwing, the above shot has been quite the point of discussion. While we know that Barricade will feature in the film somewhere, Jess Harnell reprising his role as the Decepticon, he hasn't made an overt apperance yet.

Barricade's usual alternate form is a police-car and, during the second trailer, we see Bumblebee leap onto one - whilst carrying his friends Charlie Watson and Memo. So many people believe that the brief shot is our first look at the fan-favourite Decepticon. What do you think?

Shockwave & The Seekers

Now here is the mother-lode. Back on Cybertron we're shown a plethora of Decepticons. Though uncertain, most think that the red arm on the far-left is Shatter. The purple one is Shockwave, a cold and calculating Decepticon with a laser-cannon for an arm. The green jet in the background is Dirge, the purple one is Skywarp. The jet Transformer who takes up the right-side of the shot could either be Blitzwing or even Starscream himself.

What do you think of the Transfomers which feature in Bumblebee's trailer? Which one are you most looking forward to seeing on-screen?
