Earlier today, Paramount dropped another trailer for their upcoming Transformers spinoff: Bumblebee. Shortly after, the release of what most believe to be the film's best trailer yet, it was followed up by the international version.

While the second official trailer featured brief glimpses at Cybertron and Optimus Prime, the international version features that and more. It opens with a battle between Bumblebee and Blitzwing, who many have mistaken for fan-favourite Decepticon Starscream, which will evidently be the opening to the film - as the scene ends with Bee first taking on the form of a VW bug.

Check out the international trailer below:

Here's the official synopsis for the prequel:

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

Travis Knight, who is most well-known for helming Kubo and the Two Strings, directs the film. Bumblebee stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Schneider, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Drucker, Kenneth Choi, Ricardo Hoyos, Abby Quinn and Grace Dzienny.

What do you think of the international trailer? Are you excited for Bumblebee? Which version of the trailer do you prefer?

Bumblebee drives into theatres on December 21st.
