Frozen 2 will be making its theatrical debut in two months. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad will all be reprising their roles from the first installment — those being Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf respectively.
Recently, Bell participated in an interview with
Entertainment Tonight in which she revealed her one major critique of the first
Frozen film. It simply didn't feature any singing from Jonathan Groff's Kristoff. To the delight of the actress, the criticism won't be applicable to the highly anticipated sequel.
"You are going to get to see Jonathan Groff sing! Really sing! Finally! That was my one critique [of Frozen]. We didn't get enough Jonathan Groff singing, and to me, he has one of the best singing voices I've ever heard. I would listen to him singing the alphabet forever, and he really gets his dessert in this movie."
Though it doesn't seem like it based on the film's dramatic trailers — both of which you can check out below —
Frozen 2 will include singing numbers just like its predecessor and,
according to the voice of Olaf, they're going to be even more catchy this time around. Mentioning that she enjoys doing so with all of them, Bell further spoke about singing with Groff, Menzel, and Gad.
"It's so much fun to sing with those three. I mean, truly. You don't get to record with your cast mates when you're doing an animated movie, but every time we're together to do press like this and stuff, we are in love with each other."
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.
Frozen 2 is set to arrive in theatres on November 22nd, 2019.
