Beginning in 2002, the
Ice Age animated film series has gone on for over a decade. Now, Bandai Namco and Outright Games have announced that the next instalment in the franchise will come in video game form (via
Gamefragger).
Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure will see the player take control of Scrat. If you're unfamiliar, Scrat is the funny squirrel character that the Ice Age films would cut to throughout. The character is obsessed with nuts and, based on the title, collecting them will be your objective in the game.
It's said that the upcoming video-game adventure will be releasing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC at some point in Fall of this year.
The CEO of Outright Games, the studio behind Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure, had this to say about the upcoming game:
At Outright Games, we strive to continue making games that raise the bar for family-friendly entertainment, and we worked to capture the fan-favourite qualities of Scrat in ‘Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure.' With slapstick acrobatics and thrilling in-game obstacles, this game will plunge fans into the ‘Ice Age’ world for a whirlwind adventure unlike any other.
