Now that Frozen 2 is out in theaters and breaking all sorts of box office records, Disney is a little less stringent in releasing promotional footage. Today, the company shared a new clip from the film which was
previously shown during Annecy Animation Festival back in June.
For those who didn't read about it previously, it's a clip in which Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven are playing a game of charades. It's pretty lighthearted moment and funny clip, but it cuts off right before it's Elsa's turn.
Although this clip cuts off, fans at the film festival were actually treated to a bit more footage. Previous recaps reported from the film festival revealed that Elsa becomes distracted by a haunting voice that only she can here. The scene originally ends with her excusing her self from the game and retreating to her room to be alone.
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll face a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.
Frozen 2 is now playing in theaters.
