Frozen 2 is set to be one of the most successful films of the year —
with a projected opening weekend of $145 million. The animated sequel will star Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad as Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf respectively. It's the former of those actors who's the star of the show in a new teaser that Disney has released.
The Special Look is named
"Into the Unknown," and is named after the song that features within it. This is our first time hearing one of the highly anticipated sequel's new songs.
According to Josh Gad, the eight songs of Frozen 2 are going to be even better than those of the first film. If
"Into the Unknown," is anything to go by, the actor could be right on the money.
Midway through the Special Look, Idina Menzel's incredible singing voice takes over — though, there is some exciting and never-before-seen footage on show as well. This is evidently one of the three songs which Menzel will perform in
Frozen 2. It seems to be about Elsa departing Arendelle and venturing into the Enchanted Forest to find her calling.
Take a look (via
Walt Disney Animation Studios):
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.
Frozen 2 is set to arrive in theatres on November 22nd, 2019.
