Elastigirl Is Front-And-Center In New INCREDIBLES 2 Mother's Day TV Spot

In honor of Mother's Day today, Disney and Pixar have released a new TV spot celebrating the Parr family's matriarch, Helen/Elastigirl. The teaser is actually a clip from the upcoming animated sequel. It features Helen suited up as Elastigirl in the midst of a motorcycle chase when she receives a call from her son Dash, asking her for help in finding a pair of shoes. It's a pretty funny clip that all moms can probably relate to.

As the tv spot perfectly conveys, Incredibles 2 thrusts Helen into the spotlight of a campaign to bring Supers back. While adventuring across the world as Elastigirl, Bob (Mr. Incredible) has his own adventure at home with the kids Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack.

Speaking on her expanded role in the upcoming film, actress Holly Hunter, who voices Helen, teased: "She throws down the gauntlet in this one. It’s so much fun to see a woman luxuriating in those two arenas, because women have for so many generations been brought up to not be ambitious or to not be competitive, and it’s fun to see Helen basking in those two arenas in much the same way that we give men license to do.”

Incredibles 2 hits theaters June 15.
