This weekend's DC FanDome event was chock full of exciting announcements and reveals, including a new look at the upcoming DC League of SuperPets animated feature.
The latest teaser doesn't reveal much from the movie, but we do get to witness the hilarious back-and-forth interaction between Krypto The Superdog and Hart as Ace the Bat-Hound, voiced by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, respectively. It's clear from the teaser that these two won't always see eye to eye, but will be joining forces alongside some other superpets to help fight crime while Superman and other DC heroes are gone.
Starring alongside Johnson and Hart is a star-studded cast that includes Keanu Reeves, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Kate McKinnon, Natasha Lyonne and Diego Luna in currently undisclosed roles. Surely, some of them will be voicing other SuperPets such as Streaky the Supercat, Supergirl's cat, and Jumpa, Wonder Woman's kangaroo.
As the teaser notes, we'll be getting a full-blown global trailer next month in November, while the film will fly into theaters on May 20, 2022. DC League of SuperPets is written and directed by Jared Stern, who also wrote the screenplay for The Lego Ninjago Movie along with four episodes of Netflix's Green Eggs and Ham.
