As of late, Disney has been pumping out live-action remakes of their many animated classics such as Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo, Cinderella, and more. We're yet to hear anything official about a live-action remake of 1997's Hercules but someone has volunteered for the titular role regardless.

Cameron Monaghan is best known for playing the Joker in the Gotham television series. He will also be starring in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game which is set to debut in just over a month's time. Recently, a fan of his and Hercules took to social media to make it clear that they think Monaghan would be a great fit for the role, should Disney be working on a remake.

"You need to be cast as live action Hercules. No if and or buts about it. I’m making it official," read the tweet aimed at Monaghan. The actor promptly replied in agreeance with their tweet, posting a gif of Dwight from The Office whispering, "It's true." You can check out the social media exchange for yourself below. Do you think Monaghan would be a good choice to play Hercules in live-action?
