Batman: Hush, the highly anticipated animated adaptation of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's acclaimed comic book series, finally has a release date. The feature-length animated film will arrive on Digital on July 20 ($19.99), followed by its 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack ($39.99) and Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98) release on August 13. It will also become available on the DC Universe streaming service on August 13.
The announcement comes days after Warner Bros. debuted a trailer for the eagerly awaited adaptation of the seminal DC classic tale. Based on the 12-issue comic series which ran from 2002 to 2003,
Batman: Hush pits the Caped Crusader against a mysterious new villain known as Hush, who's puppeteering Gotham's dangerous Rogues Gallery.
Batman: Hush centers on a shadowy new villain known only as Hush, who uses Gotham’s Rogues Gallery to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career, as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life – which has already been complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman.
Batman: Hush is directed by Justin Copeland with a script from Ernie Altbacker. Jason O’Mara (
The Man In The High Castle) and Jennifer Morrison (
Once Upon A Time) lead an all-star cast as the voices of Batman/Bruce Wayne and Catwoman/Selina Kyle, respectively. Joining them are Jennifer Morrison as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Jerry O'Connell as Superman, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor, Sean Maher as Nightwing, Bruce Thomas as Jim Gordon, Stuart Allan as Damian Wayne, and James Garrett as Alfred.
Batman: Hush will feature special bonus content, including
DC Showcase: Sgt. Rock, an animated short based on DC Comics' gritty World War II hero;
Batman: Love in Time of War, a story short story that explores the relationship of Selina Kyle and the Bruce Wayne; and a sneak peek at
Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, the next animated movie from DC Entertainment featuring its own original storyline.
