During Aviation Day this week, Alaska Airlines unveiled its new special-edition plane, featuring artwork inspired by Disney Pixar's
Incredibles 2.
Guests boarding the plane will see an
Incredibles 2 logo, while the Parr family - Bob, Helen, Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack - spans the fuselage while decked out in their Incredible super suits. Additionally, an image of the raccoon, which is apparently Jack-Jack's nemesis in the film, can be seen by guests seated over the wings.
“
These characters are among the most celebrated characters in the Pixar family,” said
Incredibles 2 producers Nicole Grindle and John Walker.
“After waiting 14 years to see them on the big screen again, fans will love seeing them on their Alaska Airlines plane, too.”
Alaska Airlines put together a time-lapse video revealing how this
Incredibles-themed plane became a reality.
This uniquely designed plane (737-800, tail number N519AS) has already begun flying throughout Alaska's route network as of this Sunday. The plane will visit fans throughout the country via transcontinental routes and flights to Hawaii.
As for Pixar's animated sequel,
Incredibles 2 is due out in theaters June 15, 2018.
