After a series of brief teasers, Disney has released the first full trailer for the upcoming live-action remake of
Aladdin, and this is by far the most impressive look at Guy Ritchie's adaptation yet.
Our first look at Will Smith's Genie was pretty soundly ridiculed, but we think you'll agree that the CG character comes across a lot better here, and the short blast of Jasmine and Aladdin singing "A Whole New World" is bound to hit those nostalgia buttons.
Check out the trailer below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think.
A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.”
Aladdin hits theaters on May 24, 2019.
