For well over a decade now, FOX has owned the airwaves when it comes to original animated comedies. From The Simpsons to Bob's Burgers, some of the most iconic cartoons have come from the company.
Now, with FOX really taking the animation market seriously, thanks to Animation Domination, tons of unique cartoons are getting a shot and offering up some wonderfully diverse content that can appeal to all sorts of viewers. One of their newest shows to be greenlit is Daniel Cardenas Katz' Ocean Village.
Loosely inspired by Katz's life in Florida, the show consists of a multicultural household just trying to enjoy life in a tropical Florida town. Tim Saccardo (TripTank, Community, American Dad!) has also joined the crew as Supervisor of the series, which has been locked down for a script and is working on a backup and animatic presentation now.
With no official release date set, it's just a matter of time before Ocean Village hits the small screen! Make sure to share your thoughts on the news in the comments below!
Ocean Village centers on the Diaz family as they navigate life in a tropical village. This part-immigrant, blended, multicultural clan take it one day at a time in what would be a paradise on Earth — it it weren’t for the gangs of raccoons, beach bums, crusty retirees and mosquitos the size of cats.
Ocean Village is coming soon to FOX!
