Fright Krewe was released on Hulu and Peacock on October 2nd with a ten-episode first season. Now, without even a full month having passed, a second season of the series has been officially announced by Dreamworks Animation.

While the second season of Fright Krewe has been announced for a vague release window of 2024, it can be expected that the streaming services will want to repeat their success by releasing the new episodes once more in October to keep up the spooky boost in viewership.

The series features a ragtag group of kids who are unwittingly placed in charge of all the things that go bump in the night in New Orleans. The series features the vocal talents of Rob Paulsen, Vanessa Hudgens, Reggie Watkins, Josh Richards, X Mayo, and more.

Fright Krewe hails from creator Eli Roth, known for his specific brand of horror as seen in Hostel, Cabin Fever, and The Green Inferno, so it is possible that the creator has found themself a home in animation if this show of faith from Dreamworks Animation says anything with such an early renewal. Check out the official Season 2 announcement on Instagram below.

An ancient prophecy and a Voodoo Queen put misfit teens in charge of saving New Orleans from the biggest demonic threat it’s faced in almost two centuries! The team is catapulted into learning about the town’s biggest secret - that vampires, rougarous, ghosts, monsters and demons are in fact very real. But, honestly? “Saving the world” might be easier than becoming friends in the all-new animated series, Fright Krewe!
