Star Wars: The Clone Wars returns in less than a week's time. The popular animated series initially debuted back in 2008 and aired on Cartoon Network until its cancellation in 2014. However, it was announced during San Diego Comic-Con 2018 that Star Wars: The Clone Wars would be returning for one final season on new Disney's streaming service.
Taking place between the events of
Star Wars Episode II — Attack of the Clones and
Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith;
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is considered by many to be one of the greatest additions to the saga — ever — and makes up for the shortcomings of the maligned prequel trilogy.
Last month,
an official still was released from the upcoming final season's first episode which provided us with one of our first good looks at
"The Bad Batch." This group of elite Clone Troopers are officially called Clone Force 99 and harbour favourable genetic mutations.
With the final season premiering on February 21st, the official Star Wars YouTube channel has shared a new trailer. This promotional video is all about the aforementioned, elite squad and the first episode. Check it out below (via
