Star Wars: The Clone Wars began back in 2008 but was unfortunately cancelled in 2014. The animated series chronicles canon events that took place between
Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones and
Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. Back in 2018, it was announced that
Star Wars: The Clone Wars would getting another season — and it's almost upon us.
On February 17th, the final season of
Star Wars: The Clone Wars will premiere on Disney's streaming service. Just last week, an exciting, new trailer for the upcoming season was released — you can check that out below. Even more recently, the synopses for the first two episodes of the season were revealed —
more on that here.
The first of those synopses teased that Captain Rex would be coming into contact with "The Bad Batch." This team of Clone Troopers are officially known as Clone Force 99 and are considered both elite and unorthodox. Basically, they're pretty cool. Naturally, fans have been long-awaiting their introduction.
Well,
Entertainment Weekly recently shared a new still from the first episode of the upcoming season and it features Captain Rex as well as a pair of the badass squadmates. As you can see below, their sets of armour are pretty nifty — and we can't wait to see them in action.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season will be available to stream on Disney+ from February 17th.
