When the Mickey Mouse Shorts released on the Disney Channel, the show not only reimagined the humor of the characters but also changed the designs of Mickey and his friends and is now the new look for him around the theme parks and on television. Once Disney+ released and became a one-stop-shop for all things Disney, those same shorts found their way to the platform where fans have watched them non-stop.
The one dilemma, however, involved new content. Since the show was no longer producing new shorts, where would that leave Mickey and his friends? Well, the answer is a brand new Disney+ series called The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse! Bringing the composer from the original shorts, Emmy Award-winner Christopher Willis, and Emmy Award-winning artist and director Paul Rudish to be the Executive Producer and Supervising Director; the new series is shaping up to be just as grand as the originals.
A brand new trailer for the show was released that features a ton of hilarious new footage and the same style as the original shorts. It also shows off very brief but very fun moments for each of the characters in Mickey's friend group. The best part of it all is the show will be premiering later this month on Mickey's birthday!
There is a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, and now fans can add a brand new series that follows even more adventures with Mickey to their list. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new series and trailer in the usual spot!
