Disney and Pixar have released the first trailer for Pixar Popcorn and it looks like a ton of fun. The latest effort from the incredibly talented folks over at Pixar Animation Studios aims to deliver bite-sized shorts.
And while Pixar is no stranger to delivering fun and original shorts to Disney+, this one is different in that it will focus on stories about characters from already established Pixar movies, including Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Incredibles. There's even a short for Soul, which hit Disney+ back in December.
The trailer gives us our first proper look at the upcoming collection, which is set to premiere on the streaming service on January 22. So far 10 episodes have been announced, and all 10 will be available on Friday. Here are the titles of the 10 shorts premiering on January 22, along with the films they are based on:
- To Fitness and Beyond (Toy Story)
- Chores Day the Incredibles Way (The Incredibles)
- Dancing with the Cars (Cars)
- A Day of the Life of the Dead (Coco)
- Cookie Num Num (The Incredibles)
- Dory Finding (Finding Dory)
- Fluffy Stuff with Ducky and Bunny (Toy Story)
- Soul of the City (Soul)
It's unclear if this will be a recurring series with future shorts or if this is simply a one-off. Either way, Pixar Popcorn seems like a great way to continue the stories of some of our favorite characters from Pixar films, or even shine a light on ones that maybe weren't the focus of the original film.
