Disney+ is Disney's official streaming service that initially launched in November for the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands. Soon after, the streaming service reached Australia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico. For months, those in Europe could only sit and wait as it was announced that Disney+ would reach the United Kingdom and other European countries on March 31st, 2020.
However, it was just announced (via
BBC) that the streaming service will be available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland on March 24th, 2020 — that's a week earlier than expected. A £5.99/€6.99 subscription will get you a month of Disney+ or a subscription of £59.99/€69.99 will entitle you to an entire year of the streaming service.
Finally, Europe will be able to officially and legally stream such exciting content as
Disney's recent live-action remake of Aladdin,
the recent animated success that was Toy Story 4,
the long-awaited and highly anticipated seventh season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and
Disney+ original movies such as Star Girl.
Disney+ will come to other Western Europe markets — such as Belgium, the Nordics, and Portugal — in Summer 2020.
