Aladdin originally debuted back in 1992 and is regarded as one of Disney's many animated classics. Recently, the popular animated movie was adapated into live-action on the big-screen by director Guy Ritchie. The live-action remake stars Mena Masoud as the titular street-rat, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Will Smith as the magical Genie.
Though the film wasn't well-received by professional critics, general moviegoers seemed to be over the moon with the adaptation.
Aladdin earned over $1 billion at the box office during its time in theatres. By the end of 2019,
Aladdin stood as the eighth highest-grossing movie of the year — and the 34th highest-grossing of all-time.
It's clear that many ventured out to theatres to see the classic tale in live-action. However, if you happened to miss out on Aladdin while it was available in theatres; the live-action remake is now available to stream on Disney's streaming service — Disney+. This was announced in a tweet by Walt Disney Studios — which you can check out below (via
