The quality of the many shows on Youtube continues to evolve both in live-action and animation. Creatives often come together to put out incredible content on the streaming platform, and often the results outdo projects on mainline streamers such as Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and others.
A perfect example is the brand new micro-series Yuki 7, which Chromosphere premiered on Youtube yesterday. Episode 1, titled They Called Her Number Seven, clocks in at just over seven minutes, making it a perfect adventure that viewers can visit anytime, regardless of their busy schedules.
First, look at the official trailer for the full micro-series below, and then we'll dive into the specifics.
Yuki 7 boasts an incredibly talented voice cast, starring Xana Tang (Mulan, Sweet Tooth), Piotr Michael (What If...?, Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans), and standout Julie Nathanson (Batman: The Long Halloween, Avengers: Assemble).
As you can see, the animation style is incredible and not quite like anything else that is currently streaming, making it even more interesting for fans of the medium. In addition, the music featured in the Yuki 7 micro-series hails from the combined talents of The Go! Team, Ian Parton, CHAI, and Boe Weaver.
A clip was released to showcase what Episode 1 offers before yesterday's premiere of They Called Her Number Seven, which you can check out for yourself below.
Everything about Yuki 7 seems to be a recipe for greatness, and the choice to have voice actress Julie Nathanson voice the A.I. in the series elevates it to an even higher level. The voice actress is well-established in the world of animation, having lent her voice to characters like Gilda Dent in the recent Batman: The Long Halloween, Yelena Belova in Avengers: Assemble, and Scarlett Turner in Elena of Avalor.
The multi-talented thespian has also embodied countless characters in video games, adding her flair to titles like Call of Duty Black Ops, Spider-Man, Bugsnax, Halo, Fallout, and many installments of Final Fantasy. We got to learn a bit about her experience in a recent video interview we had with her, which we've included for extra context ahead of the first full episode of Yuki 7.
There's obviously a lot to unpack here, but we have also included the entire first episode of Yuki 7, They Called Her Number Seven, below. So be sure to check it out and share your thoughts on this amazing new project in the usual spot!
