Almost a year has passed since the release of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!. The games were developed by Game Freak, published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, and released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch Though they're remakes of the Pokémon Yellow game from 1998, they feature less complex mechanics in effort to be more accessible.

The Pokémon Company have previously stated that they're pleased with the performance of both version of the Pokémon: Let's Go game as well as their massively popular mobile game named Pokémon GO. On the basis of that, many assumed that we should expect more Pokémon: Let's Go games in the future. However, it turns out that isn't the case.

Recently, lead producer at Game Freak, Junichi Masuda revealed in an interview (via Gamefragger) that The Pokémon Company's current focus is on the Pokémon Sword and Shield games that are coming soon and that they don't currently have any plans for future instalments in the Pokémon Let's Go series.

"At the moment there's no particular plans, but if the fans really like it then definitely keep those voices coming out to the Pokemon Company and Nintendo, and make sure we hear them!" said Masuda.
