In celebration of The Cartoon Art Museum's move to its new location at Fisherman's Wharf, never-before-seen production art from iconic cartoons such as Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry and Popeye will be put on display to the general public.

Our permanent collection houses thousands of animation cells and concept drawings,” says CAM Curator Andrew Farago, “but only a small portion of that artwork can be shown at any given time. This exhibition is an opportunity for us to show off the best of the best from the museum’s archives.”

In addition to the above cartoon, artwork from several classic animated films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Fantasia will also be showcased.  The crown jewel of the exhibit will be the animation camera used by Alex Anderson to produce the very first animated series, Crusader Rabbit.

The exhibit will run from June 30, 2018 to January 8, 2019.
