October 1st, 2017 was the last time a new Rick and Morty episode was released. Thankfully, months later, the animated comedy series was renewed by Adult Swim for a further seventy episodes. A year has taken place since this renewal and fans have been eagerly awaiting news on the highly-anticipated fourth season. It has now arrived.

Season four of Rick and Morty is set to premiere in November of this year on Adult Swim. The grandfather and grandson duo took to the screen during WarnerMedia's recent 2019 upfront wherein they announced the Fall return for the series.

Justin Roiland, one of the show's co-creators, had only this to say at the upfront in regards to the upcoming season: "We're very excited. We're working on them, they're going to be great."

With the show set to return in November, it will have been just over two years since the finale of season three and thus it will have been the longest gap between seasons that Rick and Morty has had yet.
