Earlier today, the third episode of Rick and Morty's long-awaited and highly anticipated fourth season made its debut. Immediately after the episode came to an end, viewers were shown a promo for the next episode in the season. However, this brief teaser also revealed that the fourth episode of the fourth season won't be premiering on Adult Swim until December 8th (via ComicBook.com).

That means that fans will have to wait two weeks for a new Rick and Morty episode as the show essentially goes on a brief hiatus. As for why the show isn't on next Sunday, we can only speculate that it has something to do with the forthcoming Thanksgiving holiday. On the upside, now you're free to do something else on the night of December 1st — perhaps put up some Christmas decorations.

The official trailer for the current season of Rick and Morty revealed that it would be distributed in two halves. Five episodes will air weekly on Adult Swim (this coming Sunday being an exception) and then another five will debut at some point in 2020 and round out the fourth season. The remaining two episodes of the first half of Season 4 will debut in December.
