Matt Groening's new comedy-fantasy series
Disenchantment is one of the most anticipated series to debut on Netflix next month - even
snagging its own spot for a panel at this week's San Diego Comic-Con. While fans will get a preview at the upcoming animated show on Saturday, Netflix has given us a little pre-treat in the form of a new poster.
The poster teases the upcoming "misadventure" of a hard-drinking princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her elf friend Elfo (Nat Faxon), and Bean's personal demon Luci (Eric Andre). From the brilliant mind of Matt Groening - creator of
The Simpsons and
Futurama - Netflix's
Disenchantment was
previously described by star John DiMaggio as
"if The Simpsons fornicated with Game of Thrones."
While we'll get a better idea of the show's hilarity at SDCC this week, a trailer has already been released.
In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.
Disenchantment will premiere on Netflix on August 17.
