Last week Marvel Studios released one of the more fun outings of their anthology-adjacent series What If...? with an episode centered around Thor, The Party Prince. Exploring a Thor who grew up without siblings, the episode was lighthearted and full of humor, with even the battle between Captain Marvel and the God of Thunder full of quips.
Unlike most of the episodes, What If... Thor Was An Only Child? didn't end on a somber note and instead left The Watcher smiling upon a happily ever after scenario. However, that was only for a moment when Uatu himself was taken off guard by the emergence of an Ultron/Vision hybrid brandishing all six infinity stones.
"Wait, what?" were the words The Watcher uttered for the first time, echoing the audience's reaction at home. The cliffhanger seems to confirm what reports initially stated, and that is that the multiversal threat that will bring together these hodgepodge heroes is, in fact, Infinite Ultron.
While the title of this week's Episode 8 has yet to be announced, Marvel Studios released an official poster with the villain at the center, seemingly confirming that the newest episode will pick up right where we left off. Check out the awesome new image below.
