Pixar Studios has released its newest SparkShort,
Kitbull. The latest in Pixar's new initiative, which allows the creative minds at the animation studio to tell their own unique stories,
Kitbull is an adorable new short that centers on an
"unlikely connection that sparks between two creatures."
Like the previously released shorts,
Purl and
Smash and Grab,
Kitbull features its own style; it's a 2D animated short, which is different than what Pixar typically does. Check it out below.
Kitbull, directed by Rosana Sullivan and produced by Kathryn Hendrickson, reveals an unlikely connection that sparks between two creatures: a fiercely independent stray kitten and a pit bull. Together, they experience friendship for the first time.
Kitbull was directed by Rosana Sullivan and produced by Kathryn Hendrickson. You can get to know both filmmakers and get a sense for how
Kitbull was created in the two behind-the-scenes videos below.
Kitbull is the third of the initial trio of SparkShort films that were first released into theaters. Pixar has already announced three additional SparkShorts;
Float,
Loop, and
Wind will all premiere on Disney's streaming service Disney+ when it launches later this year.
