Square Enix has announced that, in an upcoming update for the acclaimed
Kingdom Hearts III, they will be giving Frozen character Olaf all-new dialogue, as they want to replace Pierre Taki; who voiced Olaf in both the Japanese versions of
Frozen and
Kingdom Hearts III.
The reason for this change in voice actors is because they want to cut ties with Pierre Taki, who was arrested this past Tuesday for the alleged use of cocaine — which violates Japan's drug control law.
Square Enix is not the only company who's been struggling due to Taki's drug use, since Sega also decided to stop shipment and digital sales
Judgment, one of the company's latest games, where Taki provided both his likeness and voice for a character in the game.
Regarding the upcoming update that will patch Olaf's voice in
Kingdom Hearts III, we have no information on when it will become available, as that's the only information Square Enix has revealed.
KINGDOM HEARTS III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure. Set in a vast array of Disney and Pixar worlds, KINGDOM HEARTS follows the journey of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power.
Kingdom Hearts III is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
