Seth MacFarlane is responsible for the creation of
Family Guy — as well as many other popular TV shows. Recently, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place. There, MacFarlane won the Primetime Emmy for
"Outstanding Voice-Over Performance."
This is the fourth time that the writer and actor has won this exact award (according to
Deadline). Making him now tied for the record with Hank Azaria and Dan Castellaneta. Those two being best known for voicing a multitude of characters in
The Simpsons — namely Homer Simpson himself in the latter's case.
The first of MacFarlane's Emmy wins took place all the way back in 2000. Both then and now, he won it for voicing countless characters in the likes of
Family Guy,
American Dad, and more.
If you're unfamiliar, the main characters in
Family Guy are Peter, Brian, Stewie, Lois, Chris, and Meg. MacFarlane voiced the former half of those — and that's not to mention the many side characters that he voices.
Family Guy will be returning to FOX with its eighteenth season on Sunday, September 29th.
