Warner Bros. and Legendary's
Detective Pikachu has already been out for a few weeks, and fans of the long-running
Pokémon series were finally able to see Director Rob Letterman's wonderful world of Pokémon come to life in a way they never even expected to see.
However, it wasn't only Rob Letterman's doing, as he had a bunch of artists working hard to make these Pocket Monsters look as realistic as possible — without fully redesigning these creatures in a way that could've aienated long-time fans of the
Pokémon series, of course.
RJ Palmer, Concept Artist for the live-action
Detective Pikachu movie, has recently shared his realistic take on the starter Pokémon tht players will be choosing when
Pokémon Sword and
Pokémon Shield releases for the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Inititally having shared Grookey and Scorbunny, a couple of days ago, Palmer recently finished his work on Sobble, and posted it today on his Twitter account for the world to see; making us wish that we get to see some of these brand-new Pokémon in a future live-action
Pokémon movie.
Take a look:
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be set in Galar, an expansive region with many environments—idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. The people and Pokémon live together in this region, and they’ve worked together to develop the industries here.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be available for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.
