BATMAN: THE LONG HALLOWEEN Reportedly Getting An Animated Adaptation
One of the most popular Batman comic book storylines, Batman: The Long Halloween, is reportedly getting an animated adaptation. Here are the details on the project.
A new report from Revenge of the Fans states that another classic tale of The Dark Knight is getting the animated treatment. Batman: The Long Halloween is the latest DC project to be in animation development and ROTF has some of the cast members being discussed for roles.
The main voice actors being eyed right now are the following: Troy Baker, Jensen Ackles, Naya Rivera, Titus Welliver, David Dastmalchian, Jim Pirri, Amy Landecker, Matthew Gray Gubler, Katee Sackhoff and Fred Tatasciore. Baker is widely known for his various voice acting roles, one of his most popular ones is The Joker himself, who plays a part in Long Halloween. There is no confirmation on which characters these actors are playing.
A big piece of information ROTF reveals is the fact that this movie will not be part of the DC animated universe like other films such as The Death of Superman/Reign of The Supermen. Long Halloween will be a project like The Dark Knight Returns and ignore continuation, be a title by itself. There is nothing official yet, not even dates, if anything pops up, we will let you know.
Christmas. St. Patrick’s Day. Easter. As the calendar’s days stack up, so do the bodies littered in the streets of Gotham City. A murderer is loose, killing only on holidays. The only man that can stop this fiend? The Dark Knight. In a mystery taking place during Batman’s early days of crime fighting, Batman: The Long Halloween is one of the greatest Dark Knight stories ever told.
Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant James Gordon, Batman races against the calendar as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month. A mystery that has the reader continually guessing the identity of the killer, this story also ties into the events that transform Harvey Dent into Batman’s deadly enemy, Two-Face.
