The Walt Disney Company has bolstered its Disney+ lineup, announcing the addition of two global animated series for the upcoming streaming service.
First up is
101 Dalmatian Street which launched in Europe earlier this year. The British-Canadian animated series follows Dylan, Dolly, and their 97 younger puppy brothers and sisters, along with their parents Doug and Delilah, the latter of whom is a descendant of Pongo and Perdita. The dalmatians live by themselves at 1010 Dalmatian Street in Camden Town, London, and are left unsupervised as their owner Dodie Smith, an eccentric billionaire, went off to live on an island.
Also coming to Disney+, as well as Disney Junior in the U.S., is BBC Studios’
Bluey. This series, aimed at preschoolers, follows Bluey, an adventurous, spirited, and energetic 6-year-old Blue Heeler dog.
It’s unclear if both of these shows will be available immediately with the launch of Disney+ in November. Also revealed at Annecy was the
logo for the new Monsters at Work, a Disney+ series inspired by Pixar’s
Monsters, Inc.
