Toy Story has been one of Pixar's most imaginative franchises, and it definitely paved the way for plenty of their other projects, even more recently. But, even if Toy Story's success hadn't paved the way for following hits like Monster's Inc., Wall-E, The Incredibles, Brave, Soul, Luca, and the upcoming Turning Red, the franchise itself has held strong by receiving more features than any other Pixar IP.
Spanning decades, the movies in the franchise are very aptly titled Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, and Toy Story 4. But, of course, that isn't including the number of specials on Disney+ that follow the adventures of Forky or other sentient toys out of the box.
Even though each entry has reached fans' hearts, Toy Story 3 is often considered to be the most emotional, and for a good reason. Not only did the film feature a terrifying edge-of-your-seat third act, but it also saw the separation of the toys from their lifetime love, Andy.
Disney, too has made it clear that they haven't forgotten the moment that the split between Andy and the toybox parted ways either. Taking to Twitter and sharing artwork of the tear-jerking scene alongside the caption, "So long, partner," the new post also includes a loving heart emoji.
Fans have responded with many heartfelt mentions, but what do you think of this artwork? And if you prefer a different Toy Story, let us know why in the usual spot!
All Toy Story films and shorts are now streaming on Disney+.
