The Loud family is on a musicial family trip to Scotland in The Loud House Movie and wouldn't you know, they're more than an average family there. On a quest to find their ancestors, the family of 13 traverse into Scotland where they come across the town of Loch Loud, a Scottish town where it turns out the family's liniege dates back to royalty. The family, of course, takes advantage of this and decides to live the high-life in the castle.
If that wasn't enough, the sole boy in the family's 11 children, Lincoln, is the new Duke. While not all the details are revealed, we can infer that Lincoln is likely going to enjoy the attention as in the trailer he lamented to his best pal, Clyde, that he'll always be stuck in his 10 sisters' shadows.
Naturally, the film will lean into some more fantasy elements with a small, friendly dragon by Lincoln's side and a witch presumably hellbent on keeping the peace and quiet by getting rid of the new Duke.
The film brings in Smallfoot and Boss Baby crew member, Dave Needham, to direct. Kevin Sullivan of Danny Phantom fame is penning the script alongside series writer, Chris Viscardi. All of this is tied neatly into a bow with voice talents such as former Doctor Who alums, David Tennant and Michelle Gomez, bringing in some Scottish flare to the voice cast .
The Loud House Movie is hitting Netflix on August 20. Read the official description here:
