With shows like Voltron: Legendary Defender and She-Ra to films like Over the Moon and The Willoughbys, streaming service leader Netflix, has been making considerable strides in its efforts to make animation a much bigger priority in their line-ups. Not even counting anime, Netflix has been responsible for bringing some of the most visually stunning, creative, and heartfelt animated properties to the service over the past few years.
With all of this success, the company that is responsible for it has taken note and made some huge moves in showing its ready to move up to the animation big leagues. It has been revealed that the company has purchased a 171,000 sq. ft. plot of land as the home of their new animation studio!
The first 150,000 sq. ft. of the seven-story building will have Netflix taking up residence on the first floor and some space on the third, sixth, and seventh. From there, the company plans to expand to the remaining 21,000 sq. ft. The company has even planted its studio right in the hub of animation studios, neighbored next Disney, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., and Titmouse Inc.
