Based on a webcomic of the same name, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is a unique take on a webcomic created by Radford Sechrist and was adapted into an animated story by Dreamworks Animation. Distributed through Netflix, the series follows Kipo, a young girl who, while searching for her father on a post-apocalyptic earth, runs into both human and mutant companions while encountering various dangers.
Since the animated series' release in January of this year, the show has had two ten-episode seasons that have featured both stellar animation and action, while also featuring top-notch voice acting. While the show has only run through the year, that hasn't stopped the rising anticipation for the third and final season of the series coming this fall.
As announcements for the season continue to flow in steadily, the largest morsel of news to come in recently has been the first trailer for the upcoming season! Featuring pulse-pounding action, giant jaguars, and talking bugs, the new trailer is bound to excite fans and interest newcomers.
While the season doesn't premiere until mid-October, that goes more than enough time to catch up on the season so far. Make sure to check out the trailer below, and don't forget to share your thoughts in the usual spot!
The series follows a girl called Kipo Oak, who is searching for her father after being forced to flee from her burrow, and must explore the post-apocalyptic surface world ruled by mutated animals to find him. Along the way she befriends human survivors Wolf and Benson, and the mutant animals Dave and Mandu.
Season 3 of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts premieres on Netflix on October 12th!
