After becoming the first streaming program in 2022 to win the Outstanding Animated Program award at the Emmys, Arcane has secured a second win.

The Riot Games and Fortiche Productions collaboration took home the trophy at last night's ceremony for the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Arcane was able to win out over the other nominees, which included Bob's Burgers, Common Side Effects, Love, Death + Robots, and The Simpsons.

This marks the second win in a row for Netflix, after Blue Eye Samurai secured the honor at last year's ceremony.

The second season of Arcane also took home the Outstanding Sound Editing for an Animated Program award, the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for Background Design honor, and the award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for Color.

While there won't be a third season of Arcane as Netflix has confirmed that the show has officially ended, there are several spin-offs in development within the same League of Legends animated universe, providing an opportunity for some of the surviving characters from Arcane season 2 to appear or co-star.

Specific details that have been confirmed by Riot include the reveal that the next animated shows will focus on different regions in the world of Runeterra. Specific regions that have been mentioned include Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia.

Vi and Jinx's story is over but other League Champions will be showcased, with the animated show providing insight into how they live and acquired their abilities.

Confirmed details aside, there are several rumors floating around the internet about what and who the spin-off will focus on. With the show's creators mentioning Noxus, League fans instantly zeroed in on Mel and Ambessa Medarda, along with Noxian champions Darius and Swain.

Another unconfirmed but intriguing rumor is that Riot is currently exploring the possibility of a live-action spin-off, one that's set in the port city of Bilgewater.

Whatever the future may hold, Arcane fans around the globe are eager to learn more about what the future holds. There's speculation that news could drop at the next Game Awards in December or at The League of Legends World Championship Finals, which are set to take place on November 9, 2025.
