Ahead of this weekend's trailer debut for Arcane, Netflix has released new character posters and the voice cast for its upcoming animated series.
Arcane is based on Riot Games' popular video game series League of Legends, and will follow the origins of two prominent champions, Vi and Jinx. But the posters confirm some additional League champions will be starring in the series, as well as some new characters we've never heard of.
In addition to Vi and Jinx, we have posters for Jayce, Caitlyn, and Viktor. We've also got posters for characters named Silco, Mel, and Vander, three characters not featured in the game, but will likely play a key role in expanding the League universe.
The voice cast for Arcane features some major star power, led by Hailee Steinfeld as Vi. Steinfeld is having quite a moment in Hollywood, having starred in Bumblee and landing a major role as Kate Bishop in Marvel's upcoming Disney+ series Hawkeye. Other cast members include Ella Purnell (Army of the Dead) as Jinx, Kevin Alejandro (Arrow) as Jayce, Katie Leung (Harry Potter) as Caitlyn, Jason Spisak (Young Justice) as Silco, Toks Olagundoye (Castlevania) as Mel, JB BLanc (Breaking Bad) as Vander, and Harry Lloyd (Legion) as Viktor.
Not much is known about Arcane other than it will take fans to the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun in an origin story about Vi and Jinx, and the power that tears them apart. With the official trailer premiering this Saturday, September 25, during Tudum, we'll hopefully learn more. Arcane is set to premiere this Fall on Netflix.
