A remake of, the horror classic,
Child's Play will be releasing in June alongside the fourth instalment in the
Toy Story animated film series. Set to release on the very same day, naturally there's a bit of friendly competition between the two. And oddly, each features a very similar premise - that being toy's coming to life.
At the very beginning of this month, a poster was released for the
Child's Play remake which depicted a rather gruesome fate for, everybody's favourite plastic sheriff, Woody (you can check that out
here). Now another has been released, this one targeting Slinky Dog. While the other poster implied that Chucky had tore Woody limb from limb, this one sees the evil doll roasting Slinky above a campfire.
Interestingly, an unofficial poster for
Toy Story 4 was released back in November of last year by BossLogic which featured a similar, unfortunate fate for Slinky (you can check that one out
here).
Below you can check out the poster on the official Instagram page of the
Child's Play remake, captioned with a hot dog emoji.
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.
Toy Story 4 is set to arrive in theatres on June 21st, 2019.
