Although Warner Bros. Home Entertainment typically releases three DC Universe movies each year, the studio has plans for a fourth in 2019. Announced over the weekend, 2019 will see the release of
Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, a new, original animated movie featuring Diana Prince.
Although director Patty Jenkins helped bring
Wonder Woman to the big screen in the DCEU's live-action movie starring Gal Gadot,
Bloodlines will be the character's first animated movie
since 2009. Not much is known about the newly announced animated film but WBHE promises more information about this mysterious, but exciting bonus movie next year.
With the surprise announcement of
Bloodlines, it means DC fans will now be treated to two separate
Wonder Woman movies in 2019. Although the animated movie does not yet have a release date, Warner Bros.'
Wonder Woman 1984 - a sequel to 2017's blockbuster solo film about the Amazonian warrior - is releasing in theaters November 1, 2019.
Other animated DC movies releasing in 2019 include
Reign of Superman, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, and
Batman: Hush.
