After numerous delays and schedule shifts, Tom and Jerry are finally set to make their big return in Warner Bros. Pictures' Tom & Jerry. Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, movie releases have become a little complicated. While some studios are still chugging ahead with movie theater premieres, others are opting for streaming services. Then there are some, like Warner Bros., who are doing a hybrid -- releasing their films simultaneously in theaters and on streaming services.
That will be the case for Tom & Jerry, which officially releases on February 26, 2021. Tickets for the movie went on sale earlier this month for those willing to brave the pandemic and watch the film on the big screen.
For those who want to enjoy it from the safety of their home, Warner Bros. will also be releasing Tom & Jerry on HBO Max. If you subscribe to the streaming service, you'll be able to watch it for free with no premium charge the same day it releases in theaters, February 26.
Based on the beloved Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, Tom & Jerry sees the animated cat and mouse rivalry head to the real world. The cat and mouse battle ensues when Chloë Grace Moretz -- a wedding planner for one of the finest hotels in New York City -- seeks the help of Tom to get rid of Jerry who moves in on the eve of "the wedding of the century." But while the rivalry unfolds, an even bigger problem starts to arise when a diabolically ambitious staffer conspires against all three of them.
Will you be watching Tom & Jerry in theaters or are you content with staying at home and streaming it through HBO Max?
