Filmmaker Jon Favreau is a busy man these days - between establishing a new Star Wars television series and directing Disney's upcoming remake of The Lion King - yet he still has found some time to share updates on social media. Taking to Twitter, Favreau posted a behind-the-scenes photo of The Lion King featuring three of the main voice actors: Donald Glover (voicing adult Simba), Seth Rogen (voicing warthog Pumbaa), and Billy Eichner (voicing meerkat Timon).
The photo appears to be from inside a voiceover booth and while the trio of characters shared plenty of screentime together in the animated film, there's one song in particular they are most famous for - and it means "no worries for the rest of your days." It was revealed earlier this year that Favreau's The Lion King will feature four songs fromt he original film,w ith "Hakuna Matata" being one of them; the other three are "Can You Feel The Love Tonight," "I Just Can't Wait to Be King," and "Circle of Life." Perhaps Favreau's next teaser will feature a snippet from the trio's fan-favorite song, assuming this photo is, indeed, from them recording that.
The Lion King will follow the "technologically groundbreaking" approach of The Jungle Book, which Favreau also directed. The film will use an improved cinematography technology to create photorealistic animation that brings the animals from the Pride Lands to life.
Disney's adaptation of The Lion King roars into theaters July 19, 2019.
