Fans are showing their appreciation for The Incredibles 2 as it has become the third film this year to pass four-hundred-million dollars at the domestic Box Office. Hit the jump to find out more...
Disney-Pixar's 14-year awaited sequel to the much beloved The Incredibles has already surpassed $407 million at the domestic box office - which makes it the third film to surpass that $400 million mark this year.
The Mickey Mouse-powerhouse of Disney also owns the 1st and 2nd spot above The Incredibles 2 as Marvel Studios takes the number 2 spot with Avengers: Infinity War at $671 million, as well as the top spot with Black Panther's $699 million.
Incredibles 2 has raked in $157 million overseas and $564 million on a worldwide scale.
Its predecessor, The Incredibles ended its domestic run with $261 million and an overseas of $371.6 million, its worldwide total being $633 million - only three weeks in and the sequel is already set to beat that total.
While the current overseas amount could be higher, it will most likely not prevent the film from being a major success - though it is interesting that people outside of the US seem less than enthusistic about seeing the Parr's triumphant return despite critical acclaim.
What do you think about how The Incredibles 2 is doing at the Box Office?
Incredibles 2 sees Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
