This is a news that will make quite the bunch of Spider-Man fans happy, as
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 will be featuring the beloved "Japanese Spider-Man" from Toei's 1978
Spider-Man live-action show.
The news actually comes from an exchange between
Kubo and the Two Strings Designer and Writer Shannon Tindle and
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Producer Phil Lord, when Tindle asked if he could design Toei's
Spider-Man in the upcoming sequel; to what Phil Lord revealed that he's already been designed for the movie.
While this exchange doesn't really tells us any details about how much of a protagonist Toei's Spider-Man will be, it's definitely great news for fans of the Japanese series and the character as a whole.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse made Spider-Ham work, so the sky is pretty much the limit from now on.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 is swinging into theatres on the 8th of April in 2022.
