On February 14th,
Sonic the Hedgehog finally arrives in theatres. The upcoming, live-action movie is based on the popular video game franchise and character of the same name. Ben Schwartz serves as the voice of the titular character, Jim Carrey plays Dr. Robotnik, and the cast also includes James Marsden and Tika Sumpter. Jeff Fowler directs.
Paramount Pictures has been releasing clips, TV spots, stills, and more in promotion of the video game movie as of late — which makes sense given that the film's release is just days away. They've just released an awesome, new featurette that's all about Carrey as Dr. Robotnik (via
Gamefragger).
This fun and information, new behind-the-scenes video is called
"Becoming Robotnik," and sees Carrey talk about the character as well as why he's the perfect actor for the role. In fact, Carrey recently compared Robotnik to his other similar roles during an interview last month —
and you can check that out here.
