Dolittle (previously known as
The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle) is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film written and directed by Stephen Gaghan. Robert Downey Jr. stars as the titular doctor who has the inexplicable ability to understand and talk to animals. It's based on the series of children's books of the same name by Hugh Lofting which began in 1920.
The live-action cast of the upcoming epic also includes Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, Jim Broadbent and Harry Collett. However, the voice cast is even more plentiful, including the likes of John Cena, Marion Cotillard, Carmen Ejogo, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, Tom Holland, Rami Malek, Kumail Nanjiani, Craig Robinson, Octavia Spencer, Emma Thompson, and Frances de la Tour.

Dolittle arrives in theatres on January 17th.
