Coming to Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park next summer is
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, a new attraction inspired by Pixar's 2007 CGI animated film. The new ride, opening in summer 2020, will shrink guests down to the scale of a rat for "a culinary adventure with Chef Remy."
This week, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Bob Chapek provided us with our first look inside the new attraction. The photo reveals the trackless ride vehicle racing across Gusteau's kitchen floor. Guests will sit inside of a vehicle that looks like a rat with the various kitchen items blown up as if you were actually that small.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is scheduled to open in summer 2020 and will be featured in the park's France pavilion. It's one of many new experiences coming to Epcot, which will also be getting an attraction inspired by
Mary Poppins as well.
Ratatouille released 12 years ago and is considered one of Pixar's best films with
a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. And while Pixar has been returning to some of its more popular franchises for sequels, there's been no word on a
Ratatouille follow-up. However, Patton Oswalt, who voiced Remy in the movie,
did express interest in creating some sort of follow-up for Disney+. Think it could happen?
