Last year,
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway was subject to a delay from February 7th to April 3rd. If that delay of two months wasn't bad enough;
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway has been delayed yet again.
The sequel is now set to arrive in theatres on August 7th, 2020 (via
The Hollywood Reporter). That's for both the United States and United Kingdom releases. This delay has come about on account of concern to do with the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak that has been ravaging the world since December.
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway stars James Corden as the voice of the titular rascal as well as Margot Robbie and Elizabeth Debicki as Flopsy and Mopsy. Daisy Ridley's status as Cottontail is currently unconfirmed. The cast also includes Domhnall Gleeson, Rose Byrne, and David Oyelowo. Will Gluck writes, produces, and directs.
Similarly, Disney's live-action remake of
Mulan has been delayed due to the Coronavirus. However, a new release date is yet to be set in that case.
